What's the difference between a conservatory and an orangery?

The biggest difference is the construction of the roof. A conservatory has over 75% of the roof glazed, an orangery has less than 75%. A conservatory by definition must also have over 50% of its wall area glazed.

How much space will I need?

On average, projects start from 12 to 16 square metres up to any size you want, restricted only by planning consent and the size of the existing property.

Do you handle entire projects from survey to design to planning to build, including plumbing, electrics etc?

Yes we do. We work with approved local tradesmen where necessary, but will coordinate the entire project from start to finish, meaning you have a single point of contact with us.

Are your designs bespoke?

Absolutely. Everything we do is made to measure. The wood, glazing, foundations and roof.

In which areas of the country do you work?

We work nationwide, including the Channel Islands and Ireland.

How long does a build usually take?

From start to finish (not including planning permission) approximately 12-16 weeks, depending on the size and level of works.

Will I need planning permission and if so can you handle that?

We will contact the local authority to confirm if planning will be required and handle all local authority approvals.

What materials do you use?

Typically hardwood, however we can provide both aluminium and uPVC.
